Escape avalanches, rock slides, freezing cold temperatures, and more as you take Mother Nature head-on in hope of surviving some of the most treacherous descents on earth.



[ Explore ]
Explore every drop in the massive world of SSX. Set your fastest time on Race Drops, post your highest score in Trick Drops, and descend as far down the mountain as you can in Survival Drops. Instead of a traditional leaderboard showing friends’ times to beat, ghosts of your friends’ runs are visible in your world showing you exactly how they performed. Challenge your friends’ ghosts or let your ghost chalk up wins and losses as you dominate your way to the top of your Friend Leaderboards.



[ Global Events ]
Constant global competition at every drop point in the SSX universe. Compete in live events against real people in real-time on every drop in the game. An event can last for a single run, hours, or even days and can support up to 100,000 participants, with your friends and closest competitors phasing in and out of your immediate surroundings at all times. Post a time and move up or down the leaderboard even if you quit out and turn off your console.



[ RiderNet ]
Inspired by the incredible Autolog engine that powered NFSHP, RiderNet will guide you through the incredible world of SSX by allowing you to ‘like’ your favourite drops, recommending new drops and friends, guiding you to where your friends are, or drops that their ghosts are dominating, and directing you to the biggest and best Global Events for your level.

I SSX Tricky and SSX3 - Been dying to see a good snowboarding game this console generation, so I will definitely be getting this launch day!

Interested to see how the world map (which was apparently inspired by google earth) works, seeing as they created a whole new terrain generation system based on actual Mountain maps of the world - Awesome

EA has unveiled a new custom soundtrack system for its upcoming snowboarding reboot, SSX. The technology — entitled Harmony — sounds similar to the functionality in Wipeout HD. It essentially dynamically mixes your music in-game, so if you hit a particularly big jump, EA’s able to fade out your custom soundtrack and replace it with the soothing sound of the wind whistling in your ears.

Those that purchased Wipeout HD will remember the visuals changing depending on the music you selected, with additional audio post-processing effects such as delay and flangers being dynamically applied to your music as and when the gameplay demanded it.

Also EA have delayed the game by about 3 weeks. US release is 28 Feb and Worldwide is 2 or 3 March

you know as long as it plays as good as its looking they delay it as much as they want - I have been dying for a SSX this gen! Will post the updated release dates as soon as EA confirms them for SA

Just a few more days - I know a few guys have been playing the demo since last week and they say this game is awesome! also if you download the demo and send a friend a message telling about the demo it unlocks more stuff for the game! Very smart EA!!

Personally Im givng the demo a skip as I know Im picking this up on launch day. I Will have 7 days to conquer the Ice before ME3 comes out
