So, couldn't resist, installed it and took it for a spin from about 11pm until 1am.
Quick impressions:
1) Love it
2) Love it some more
3) The new skill building system is a bit [censored]-hum for me, I would prefer a bit more control, especially with skill and spec distribution like the old days. However it's still early, so it could grow on me. Only L8, rocking a Demon Hunter.
4) I did have issues when attempting to log in. After maybe 3 Error 37s (overloaded servers), I kept getting told that my account didn't have a D3 license. This was after I registered it on B.Net about an hour previously.
However when I tried to log in to the American server it went through.
Only thing is you can't have the same character on multiple servers (a fact I forgot lol).
Anywho I got into the EU server afterwards without issue.
5) I did notice something else that will bug me if it keeps happening. My latency for the US was actually better than the EU. Still noticeably laggy (roughly ~450ms), but on EU it was jumping from 300ms to 700ms at times. Will have to test with another ISP. Would appreciate it if others mentioned what their latency is like and what ISP they use.
I'm on an uncapped IS based account (DataPro). Will test with my free FNB account this evening.

Yea, last night was not great. Endless error37's and error75's
I went to bed when it wasn't getting sorted and woke up early this morning. As I logged in they took the servers down for maintenance so went back to bed and woke again to get in 30 minutes.

Blizzard have apparently hotfixed it to queue instead of this crazy bottleneck luck approach

Still an awesome game. They just need to sort out these rush hour login problems.

Saw a friend was at lvl 49… really jealous of the people with the day off yesterday

Completely agree with this. D2 was much more customisable, but its still early days for me. I am only Level 7

I found that while playing yesterday the battle.net servers were losing my character progress and unlocks, so I am going to give it a few days and then try again.

I am not too far in so the thought of losing my character is not too scarey, but if it does become a regular thing then I will wait too... and dream of killing demons in my sleep!

i didn't even get one second of playtime. and i cant moan about it on the b.net forum cause it says you have to create a character in game to post on the forum.

Yeah none of my characters show up there either since last night. But at least it did let me log in eventually to the EU servers.
Shows my SC2 tag, my WoW characters (which I haven't used in years), and my expired Beta license.

As I said though at least the game seems to recognize it so I'm sure it will get sorted eventually.

edit: K nevermind. I just clicked the dropdown next to my name on the page, selected the Beta account and now I can post. Still weird that it says Beta though, but the battle tag is correct.

Damn, I didn’t experience any difficulties last night. I started playing at about 11pm and it was fine, guess I’m just one of the lucky ones

I went to bed at 10:30PM after trying since about 5PM.
So it seem around 11 they fixed the problems.
Hopefully i'll be able to play when i get home tonight.

Yes i did all that. Create a Blizzard account. Created a Blizztag. also linked my copy of diablo to my battlenet account. but i think its beacuse i've not been able to actually create a character.

I've got an EU account. i didn't even think of loggin on the US forum.
I'm leaving work now in anticipation of being able to play.
