An excellent close-range weapon, its bursts of fire ensure ammunition conservation during lengthy conflicts. Other law-enforcement agencies across the galaxy are adopting the Argus as their standard rifle, as much for its intimidation factor as its suppression power.

The Fall of Earth
In Mass Effect 3, an ancient alien race known only as “Reapers”, has launched an all-out invasion of the galaxy, leaving nothing but a trail of destruction in their wake.

Earth has been taken, the galaxy is on the verge of total annihilation, and you are the only one who can stop them. The price of failure is extinction. You, as Commander Shepard, must lead the counter assault to take it back.

Only you can determine how events will play out, which planets you will save from annihilation and which alliances you will form or abandon as you rally the forces of the galaxy to eliminate the Reaper threat once and for all.

I think once I finish mass Effect 3 as a male shepard I will redo the experience as Female shepard. I have heard her voice acting is great
perhaps even better than the male voice that was cast...

Cannot freaking wait.
Been carrying my saves from the first game so will carry on with the 3rd on X360.
I sort of screwed up my endgame in ME2 so had quite a number of my crew die on me along with my ship taking quite a beating.
However I decided that instead of replaying the final mission I'll just carry on for sake of continuity and just replay all 3 games at a later stage.
I made my choices and will live with them XD

Revealed are three ways to play Mass Effect 3's campaign: Action Mode, Story Mode and RPG Mode.
Action Mode, according to the beta, is "for those who want to emphasise action and combat and minimize story management. Action mode will set automatic replies in conversation and a normal difficulty".
Story Mode is "for those who want to emphasize story immersion and minimize combat pressure. Story mode will set manually-selectable replies in conversation and a minimal combat difficulty".
And RPG Mode is "for those who want to explore both realms of story and combat. RPG mode will set manually-selectable replies in conversation and a normal combat difficulty".

@Scottie so basically they have changed Easy, Normal and Hard with these modes? What a great bit of marketing fluff
By the way, apparently the Beta leaked this past weekend when it was available to everyone on Xbox Live. Seems someone screwed up the settings to limit the Beta to only those who were supposed to receive it. The Beta contained the first couple of hours of SP and a couple of MP maps.

I think they are trying to get KF500 to buy the game with the inclusion of Action Mode.

if u want romantic RPG story elements dragon age or witcher go go
i think the mass effect guys are scared to let sheppard get it on with ze aliens :D lols
Im hoping the Role-playing aspect isnt lost. In 1 and 2 it was a medium pace game with the proper decision making elements. Im keen to see with 3 being the whole "full on war" aspect, how they are gonna incorperate the choices, and i dont mean like "Oh ... survivor there. save dont save" want something a tad deeper

@Beeza, I reckon you will be disappointed. After DA2 and the direction that ME2 is taking regarding "modes" and even including an MP element, I think that ME2 is going the Dragon Age route. I honestly think that after the DA2 backlash Bioware are scrambling to change some aspects of ME3, but it's probably too late in the process for that.
I will get this game, as I hope that they haven't messed with it too much and I want to finish the story, but after DA2 I will wait for the reviews.
