The Horseman Death, knowing that his brother War is the most honorable and incorruptible of the four, and would never have started the Apocalypse early, flies into a rage. Believing his brother is victim of a conspiracy, Death defies the Council's orders and sets out on a personal mission to find proof of his brother's innocence. Death travels to the Nether Realms, a place between Heaven and Hell, to call in favors from powerful beings that rule the realm.

If it is not as monotonous as the first game I will pick this up. I really enjoyed the first game but the puzzles became so monotonous and boring that I never finished the game. Got right too the end and just gave up. Once that portal gun rip-off came into the game it got incredibly boring. was cool for the first time you had to do it and solve puzzles but then everything needed it and I just gave it a miss and traded it in.

So will def be interested in this if they revamp the style, it just slowed the game down too much for me.

@ Dp - Yeah that portal + tower Puzzle at the end of the game...grrr but other than that it was awesome!! Loved the fact that it took the best aspects of other quest adventure games (Soul reaver, Zelda, DMC + a few others) and pooled it together for one really good gaming experience!

Pfft pfft people, that portal gun puzzle section was awesome.

There should be an "Other" option for voting, as in "I wish this was a proper sequeal and not just the first game retold from a different vantage point."

I'm not writing it off, but I am gonna wait to see what is like before deciding whether or not to get it.

Oh what the hell, I'll probably get it anyway.

Mmmm...
IMHO the first game just tried to cram to many different aspects into the gameplay. Some of the weapons and or power-ups get used once or twice, and trying to swop out three or four different powers mid battle got annoying.

I'll give this one a try, but I dont have high hopes...

On a side note, War and Death I can see, but a fighting game with Famine? Or pestillence?

First game got boring 2/3 through. It was the same thing every single section.

That said, I enjoyed it for what it was worth but it was nothing special. This looks better I will give you that.

Also, I do not recall having any of the gameplay problems mentioned so far. Puzzles and combat were pretty easy stuff.

@ Death - I know - thought the same thing cause I love soul reaver - But thats what I like about Dark siders - yes it borrow's lots of gameplay idea's/ theme's from other games but it does it well and merges it all into a very enjoyable gameplay experience.

I can't wait for this, I will however start this game on the hardest difficulty it offers, the 1st one was a bit too easy imo on normal. Also, there were areas - the desert stage especially - where you use to run for quiet a long time and there was nothing to do, no enemies, no hidden objects etc, just pointless open spaces. They need to add into areas like that, either enemies or objects to find or something, they musn't over do it though, but they can either make areas like that shorter, or add to them, else you come out of an action packed area, then you run into boring areas doing nada, and kinda lose your hype, not cool. As I said, can't wait for this.
