All 42 playable characters from Tekken 6 (including Panda, but not as a palette swap) return along with Devil Kazuya & Jun Kazama from Tekken 2, True Ogre (now simply called Ogre) from Tekken 3, and Jinpachi Mishima from Tekken 5, all with updated character designs. Devil Kazuya makes appearance, but as part of Kazuya (instead of having character slot like Devil Jin). Unknown (from the original Tekken Tag Tournament) also returns once again as an unplayable boss character.

For the first time ever in the Tekken series, almost every character in the game speaks in their native language. This has been noticed as Lili speaks French, Eddy Gordo and Christie Monteiro speak Portuguese, Leo Kliesen speaks German and Miguel Caballero Rojo speaks Spanish. Still, there are some characters that do not speak on their native language (e.g. Xiaoyu still speaks Japanese despite being from China).

Michelle is a half Chinese, half Native American character from Arizona that prefers to hunt and track down animals, like her distant relatives did, and enjoys watching buffalo with Julia, her adopted daughter. Usually dressed in Native American style clothing complete with a suede vest and headband, Michelle has a pendant capable of awakening Ogre, an evil spirit that wants to destroy the earth. Ganryu, a sumo wrestler is smitten by Michelle but she finds him to be a pest, as does her daughter.

Normally elegant and beautiful, Angel bellows out a deep, manly voice during intense combat. First appearing in Tekken 2 as an opposite identity to Kazuya's devil form, Angel wields the power to purify all evil things. The motions of her standard attacks are feminine and elegant, but when it comes down to the wire, she uses aggressive, rough attacks.

Have not been to the arcade in a while and went over the weekend.

Unless they release a new mortal kombat this year, this is my most anticipated fighting game and then perhaps DOA5!

That new trailer makes the game look really fun + the Destructable, mutli-level backgrounds are going to be awesome!

Siliconera posted an article detailing the release date of the console version of Tekken Tag Tournament 2. The game is said to hit stores sometime in September 2012.

The console version is expected to have more characters than Tekken Tag Tournament 2 Unlimited and will even incorporate some new features.

Building upon Tekken Unlimited, the console version of Tekken Tag Tournament 2 will also feature new modes such as 1-on-1, 2-on-1, and 2-on-2 matches. With regard to that last one, in Pair Play mode, each of the four characters is controlled by a different player, making for four players in total at the same time. The four characters battle at once in different planes.

Tekken Tag Tournament 2 for consoles also has a “Fight Lab” mode for novice and advanced players, which beginners can use to learn the game and advanced players can play against customized bots for various challenges.

Here are some new screenshots of Bandai Namco's Tekken Tag Tournament 2 for PS3 and Xbox 360, scheduled for a September release worldwide. The game will have over 50 playable characters, and a new Fight Lab mode will be added to the home version, in which your mission is to build a battle robot, there will be mini games and fights for you to obtain parts to customize your robot, and tune its skills. The game will also have 2-on-2, 1-on-1 and 2-on-1 combats, the strength of the characters will be adjusted based on the play mode. There won't be any premium DLC for the game.

Tekken just has a really good gameplay system. Im hoping to see some Tekken x Street Fighter soon.. that should be interesting
