The Hill Have Eyes. Was okay!

Prometheus. Started off really well, then kind of went off course a bit! Still a good movie & a good prequel to the first Alien movie! Even if there where a few inconsistencies!

SPOILER!!

For me this was an Alien prequel, i mean the Weyland-Yutani Corporation was there & Weyland himself!!!
Where i say the movie went off course a bit was when that women got pregnant & removed that squid! That was a squid if i ever saw one
Then it turned into a giant "face huger" Then it pretty much molested that engineer & a "alien" burst from his chest! & i guess thats what laid the eggs that are later found in the first Alien movie?
& i also guess that the face huger & alien did not look like your typical face huger & alien, because they take on dna from there host & evolve?
So yeah, a lot of guess work! But if you do enough guessing, you can make it work as an Alien prequel!

Prometheus (twice now).

As Knightfall said, good start and dodgy finish. The science behind the film was atrocious throughout (so make sure to suspend your disbelief) and the behavior of some of the characters in the plot was straight out of the Scream series (contrived given the situation). The performance by Michael Fassbender as the android is amazing however.

They say Ridley Scoot started it as a prequel, changed his mind a wanted an independent movie and then went back to making it a prequel. I'm inclined to agree with this as it feels like a space-exploration-discovery movie for half of it and a weak alien film for the rest. On the upside, there hasn't been anything like it for ages so it still comes off as decent.

For Alien fans, a lot of the scenes are stylistically similar to the movies even if the actual plot references are weak.

Snow white and the Huntsman. I quite enjoyed this and don’t think it deserved all the bad reviews it got. It was exactly what I was excepting it to be – a retelling of the Snow white tale. There were some cheesy moments and it was definitely very kid friendly (there was no blood at all except in if it was part of the lore). This was a bit disappointing as the trailer depicted a more action and mature version.

I would probably give it a 7/10 – so not great but good.

Edit: Oh and the graphics were brillent - Really seamless effects that worked well to create the over all style they were going for

The Darkest Hour - Enjoyed it. I like how they didn't pull any punches, got straight into it without some long exposure. Pretty straight forward alien invasion flick that changes it up a bit. Would've preferred a more morbid, hopeless ending but was satisfied with it.

Comic-Con: Epsiodes IV - Pretty good doc filmed at last year's Comic-Con. If you want to see what it is about before going watch this film. The name Comic-Con is definitely not descriptive of the whole thing anymore.

Watched a couple of movies I've been meaning to watch this past month:

- Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2
- Watchmen
- Sucker Punch
- X-Men: First Class
- Bunraku
- Valentines Day
- Cars
- Cars 2

And then I decided to watch 2 of my favorite Disney/Pixar films
- Fining Nemo
- Up (Cried like a baby again)

Chronicles - was alright, good thing it was nice and short, you can just tell its one of those movies where if they made it any longer or did a sequel they'd mess it up horribly

Prometheus - good ol' mindless violence, nice sci-fi flick to watch while killing some time

John Carter.
Not bad, good movie! I was expecting a bit more, considering all the hype around this movie when it came out.

Doctor Strange animated movie.
Was good! I'm not a fan of the comics, so dont know how true they stayed to the origin story!

Underworld: Awakening - pretty rubbish. Story made no sense, action pieces weren't entertaining at all, they kept repeating stunts and the makeup was pretty laughable. Must just get around to watching the first 2 as I've yet to see them and I hear they're alright.

28 Weeks Later - not half bad, doesn't touch the original but still alright. Was hoping for a bit more.

I watch a movie about six months ago called Princess of Mars. With exception to the actors the movie was word for word, scene for scene the same as John Carter.

The role John Carter in Princess of mars was played by the lead actor from Spartacus who placed Spartacus in the first series. He fitted better into the role as the Disney actor from John Carter.

And the fight scenes we better and more brutal than in JC.

A Princess of Mars was originally a book written in the 1910s. John Carter was based on it. I had no idea that there was a movie out for it before John Carter - but it does explain why they didn't use the books name

Arthur - Really enjoyed this movie and didn't even know that it was a remake of the 1981 movie of the same name.

Chronicle - Despite the 'Camera POV' it was actually pretty good. I won't lie and say I wasn't expecting more, but what I got was sufficient.
