I have recently decided to collect Asian horror movies and would like to know what everyone's favourites are? Which ones are the best in your opinion? Which are the scariest? ^.^

Some that i watched recently
Noroi : The Curse, hands down the best creepiest ghost movie evar, About a village of devil worshippers can't go wrong with this one.
Shutter(2004) : do not watch the remake, watch the original, you will **** yourself
Tamami Baby's Curse : not scary at all just funny as hell.
Creepy Hide and Seek - the movie as whole is pretty crap but after you see that ending you'll never sleep again :D

Asian horror movies are not exactly scary by any means.
Still they are fun to watch and I own a few, notably Ju-on and the Ring series.

Sinn your only saying that because you watch mainstream j-horror, just watch the ones i posted and then come back and say that again :p
all though i still think ju-on was pretty freaking scary 0_0

@ Ragna, I was going to get Shutter from [censored] but could not figure out which one was the original >< I will look for the Curse as well
@ Sinncross, I scare relatively easily do I enjoy Asian horrors, and even if they aren't that scary to some, they are at least way better than American horrors and American remakes lol >

I think I ordered Ju-on as well.
Today Pulse and Shadow of the Wraith should be arriving yay and then I ordered um... Ju- on, Kaidan, um... I tihnk Doll Master and something else I think urgh I can't remember lol
I really want Audition as well, Marebito, Tale of Two Sisters, and I reaaaaaaaaaally want Uzumaki XD

tale of two sisters is cool
erg i have watched quite a few but all are at home ..not in the mood to use my brain to well...
uzumaki is pretty cool
spiral is cool aswell
dark water was decent
oh recommending ONE MISSED CALL
one of the coolest ive ever watched ... will freak u out

Tale of Two Sisters was epic!
The remake was called "the uninvited" <- what a load of garbage.
I also enjoyed Dark Water, but mostly because the "horror" was sorta secondary.

I'm terribly out of it with a growing Asian movie library that has plenty of movies still to watch.
No self respecting J-Horror, nay, J-Cinema fan should go without watching the following though (adding to whats been mentioned already):

I have a few others... I remember seeing this really awesome Thai ghost story. Wish I could get hold it it but alas not possible.
I suppose I dont find horrors in general scary... i watch them more out of interest.

there are a few volumes of "tales of terror from tokyo"
its basically a compilation of A LOT of 5min to 10min or maybe even 15min horror stories from Japan. in my opinion a lot of it is very good.
oh and apparently alot of it is based on true events

I watched Doll Master & Shadow of the Wraith with Autumn recently ^^ Both not bad, but not super scary - I must still show her Art of the Devil 1 & 2 >;D
