Yakuza 1 was great. Havent played further because I want to play 2 before the rest, even though I have 3. Waiting for the HD update of 1 and 2 and then can catch up.

Probably because, like DMC they were niche selling titles, as good as they were, and Onimusha 3 and Dawn of Dreams really underperformed. Capcom hasn't ruled out doing a new one, they apparently once said, if the market was there for it.
